Cream blusher re-loaded.

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Hope you are enjoying this lovely London weather we are having.  Or hope you are enjoying the weather where ever you may be!

So down to business, now the that the sun is shining in the skin, its officially glowy cheeks season.  What gives you a lovely dewy glow, a cream blusher of course.  I have been a cream blusher virgin for throughout my life, with the exception of face paint but I think that doesn't count.  But the main reason why I have avoided it was I have rubbish skin, well I used to when I was younger.  I used to avoid anything cream based as once I had rubbed the product into my face I would undo all the good work I had done with my Laura Mercier "Secret Camoflague" concealer.  So whatever blemishes were on my cheeks (due to oil, smoking, not cleaning my mug properly) would be wiped with the cream blusher and reveiled again. What a pain!
Now that I have fairly good skin and because I have been using the Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Perfector Foundation the door to cream blush has literally be thrown wide open.
Having never seen really what the big deal was about I went a bit mad and got four within about 2-3 weeks of each other and across two pay days.  I am can safetly say I am completely obsessed now.

Right to left Stila Convertable colour in Peony and Petunia, Kevyn Aucoin Creamy glow blush in Liquidfushia and Tan Soleil.
So my only general gripe is that you get tiny little hairs and dust in these pretty much from the get go.  Which looks really un-hygenic but there is really nothing you can do about it.  My blusher brushes are clean, my fingers are clean and that is about the best that I can do.
Stila Convertable Colours
I love these, the packaging the colours the price!  What is there not to like?  Also can be used on lips as a gloss which isn't drying. Favs colours amongst the beauty bloggers seem to Lilium and Gerbera, but those two colours wash me out so after much swatching I went after.....
Peony, which looks like a horrid muddy brown, but comes up a beautiful, natural flushed pink on me. (I am NC 41 for reference).   I like to wear this when I want to put the focus on eyes and not my cheeks.  My second choice was.....
Petunia which is lovely coral/pink. The perfect summer blusher to wear on its own or with a full face of make up.  I have had a number of weekends where I have just bunged on the factor 25 and this.  Shoved the compact in my handbag and away I go to frollick in the sun.

Where to buy
Larger boots, and online.  Space NK online, and Selfridges in the beauty section next to stationary.

Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow Blusher.
So initially I was looking for a hot fushia to pop on my lips.  The SA at the counter recommended this.  The colour is amazing in the pan, on the cheek it still retains alot of its vibrancy but glowing flushed way.  Not in a bright neon clown way, that is never a good look.

I next got suckered into buying Tan Soleil.  It looks like a creamy coral, but its more on the orange side.  This comes up on me as a lovely peachy glow, it doesn't really suit my lips, though.  I probably could have done without this one but I couldn't resist temptation.

Hope that was helpful to you.  Thanks for reading

Carrie x
