So I was initially going to completely avoid this and
purposely not buy this. When I saw the promo photos for this, I was,
well I was underwhelmed. I did have a
couple of false starts on the Nars website when they sold this online twice in
the run up to the 1st of Feb.
Something kept on preventing me from pulling the trigger. It looked like there were too many light
colours and not enough mid-tone colours, and well it didn’t really excite me. Also I was very wary of this turning into
another Naked palette scenario. (i.e.
unloved and unused) However after reading a few reviews and seeing several
looks online and see this baby put through its paces, Ladies and Gents this is
a definite winner.
I couldn’t find this anywhere online last week and I asked John
Lewis to email me when it came back in stock online. I was in London shopping on sunday and just
popped into John Lewis on the off chance that they had any in stock in store. Lucky for me they did. The SA was almost as excited as I was when I
got it, and pretty much skipped out of the store with this in a bag.
The problem with me is that I am more excited by blush
palettes or highlighters than eye shadow I think. My eyes are the first to be neglected when
it comes to make up. I have had it for
four days now and I can’t put it down. I
underestimated how usable this palette is.
What I particularly like are all the greys, silvers and purples that are
in it. There are a number of bronzey
browns as well to create a couple of neutral looks.
What do you reckon guys are you going pull the trigger or
not on this?
Thanks for reading
