Make up menu this week

In a bid to shake up, use and love my make up I've been trying to use something different everyday

In a Rush face
This is was put together in a hurry and smeared on my face in five minutes.  The results weren’t too bad.  The Mac Ombre blush is a new addition for me.  One of my friends had been hanging onto her ‘spare’ of this for years.   I finally managed to weasel it out of her as a late birthday present.  So happy, this is such a lovely coral peach blush.  Not winter appropriate at all but I am gonna wear it regardless.

Friday night out with the girls
This look was a few weeks ago.  One of my school friends was turning 32 and was celebrating in London on the Friday.  It was a tapas meal with beer and some live music after.  I am always pushed for time getting home after work, changed and re-applying my makeup.  So a Red Lip look is always to the easiest to put together, as it means no time faffing with eye makeup.  This Nars lipstick pencil is amazing due to its longevity and so easy to apply precisely.  No lipliner needed and it dries matte on the lips so it really is a low maintenance product.  I paired this with a low key blusher.  Doucer from Nars is my current favourite, to give you a little bit of colour, but keeping the focus on the lips.

Sunday brunch face
I went out to a local joint with my Mum for brunch breakfast one lazy Sunday afternoon.  As I had a bit more time on my hands I went for a bronzy eye/berry look.   I have a mantra that I am trying to give some love to the Naked 1 eye palette at the moment.   I have completely fallen in love with ‘toasted’ at the moment.  It is a perfect bronzey mid-range brown.  I do like pairing this with a darker crease colour.  However it is perfect by itself for a wash of colour on the lid. I paired this with my beloved rock n kohl by charlotte tilbury, and paint pot ‘ground work’ to make the eyeshadow pop.   I like ‘blushing bride’ by tarte Amazonian for a winter rosy look.  This is one of my favourite blushers for winter as it is a shimmery berry colour.   The lips were kept neutral with ‘patisserie’ by Mac.

Couples date night last Friday.
So after having a ‘dry’ Jan my Husband and another couple who we are friends with, went out to Jamie Oliver’s Italian to celebrate being able to drink again.  (I know any excuse right?) I completely forgot what blusher I used.  I simply cannot get enough of the ‘comfort zone’ eye palette.  Admittedly I haven’t used the brown side of this yet, but of love the green side.  If I really want to up the game with the eyes I always reach for this.  I love a green eye look with brown eyes.

What have you been using recently make up wise?

Thanks for reading
